Manage your conversations and albums
- On your mobile device, open the Google Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Sharing .
- You can access your shared albums and sharing activity, like comments and recently added photos. New sharing activity will be in bold.
How to accept a shared album invite
- Go to your Photos app.
- Tap the For You tab. The invite should appear at the top of the list.
- Tap Accept.
One Drive users may contact the Google Help. Thus when the link does not work for you, try in an incognito (private) window. When it still does not work there may be a problem with the link. The owner should check whether the album still exists and is shared.
The photos and videos in your Shared Albums are kept in iCloud, but they don’t count against your iCloud storage limit.

No, albums shared with you do not use your storage, but the storage of the owner. When you want to clear storage used by Google Photos you have two options: Delete stuff.
In Settings, tap Photos & Camera, and then tap the On switch for iCloud Photo Library to post all your photos to this library in the cloud. Tap Home and then tap the Photos app to open it. Tap Shared at the bottom to view all photos and videos stored in the iCloud Library.
Shared albums are not hosted in the same space as your iCloud.com account is. Shared albums are not visible at all outside an iOS/macOS Photos app unless you create the public website.
When iCloud Photos is turned on, you can share multiple full-quality photos with an iCloud link. iCloud links remain available for 30 days, can be viewed by anyone, and can be shared using any app, such as Messages or Mail. You can also use Shared Albums to share photos and videos with just the people you choose.
